August 27 Well fellow democrats, it is time. Sen. Clinton gave one of the most inspirational speeches in the history of the democratic convention. She is a very good woman who knows what is best for the party. Sen Obama needs to be the next President, our world, and our country is on the brink of disaster. The last eight years have torn down, all that we americans, and those before us have built. John McCain will bring nothing but more misery, and suffering to this country, and the world as a whole. Barack Obama will bring insight, open mindedness, growth, change for the better, and will bring hope back to us all. Sen. Clinton believes in Barack Obama, and we must not let campaign ads throw us off course. the mission of the democratic party, is to take back Washington, and to restore to the people their faith. Without faith, taking the strides necessary, into the future, cannot come to pass. So please fellow democrats, no matter who you voted for in the primaries, you must now stand with Sen. Obama, and help elect him, the next President of the United States. June 20 Hello to all my new friends, it is a pleasure to know you. I have been very busy the past few months, but I will soon be posting new blogs, and adding new music. Shortly the political themes for the upcoming elections in November will be set, and my blogs will increase, and may become very heated. Norb June 03 Well everyone it looks as though Senator Obama, has secured the nomination. Now all democrats must come together, and stand behind him. Personally I do not think he is the best person for the job, but I must respect that he has gained the confidence of the majority. i do hope he picks Clinton as a running mate, or he stands no chance against McCain in November. So stand up democrats, unite behind Senator Obama, and bring dignity back to the White House. April 10 Well one more day, of trying to figure out, who is the best canidate for president. To be honest I am totally confused. I watch, and read, and listen to everything these canidates have been saying, and not one of them inspires me to vote. None of them seem to know what needs to be done, to get our country back on the right path. I know what needs to be done, and so do most Americans, but these politicians are unwilling to make any type of stand.
I have been disillusioned since Ross Perot was running for president. He had the right idea.This country needs to be run more like a business, rather than the million, and billionaires club that it has become. In the past eight years, the american public has been lied to, been pushed aside, basically been told that we don't count. We have been shown that our government, and especially this administration, feels that we are not the voice of the people. They decided that they speak for us, and that our decisions, and our opinions, are not intelligent, and informed. These politicians make millions upon millions of dollars by helping corporations, or individuals to make millions. The problem is, that the monies invested to start these entities in their money making process, are the taxes that we the working class pay. Eveyday we break our backs, and try to be contributing members of our society, only to see our contributions spent in foolish, and frivolous ways. For example, do we really need to spend, 250 million dollars for a bridge, that will connect an island with a population of 30, to the mainland in Florida? Does that not sound like a waste of money? I guess, to some fat cat senator, who will probably profit from the building of, or the development that will take place after the bridge is built, 250 million dollars of our money is nothing. This is the type of thing that goes on everyday in our country. The rich get richer, politicians get richer, the disparity between income classes grows wider, and we the real people can do nothing about it, because there is no good choice, when it comes to our leaders. When the next debates happen, I do hope someone will ask these canidates, where they stand, on spending 250 million dollars for a bridge, that should not be built. I doubt that is a subject they will want to talk about.
Do we really have no other choices? It does seem that way. Personally, I think I would like to see someone like, Jesse Ventura run for President. He was a very good governor, and had a very no nonsense approach, as to how he ran the State of Minnesota. Since it is unlikely that he will run, I guess I either have to choose the lesser of evils, or not vote at all. The last thing I can do, is hope, that someone stands up, fighting for the people, and fighting to right the wrongs, that have plagued our government, for decades.
Hello, I would first like to thank anyone who takes the time to read this blog.
I would like to tell you about a friend of mine, his name is David Bandt. My friend David passed away on, Saturday March 22nd at the age of 38. David was a very special person, everyone who knew him was touched by his spirit. David had a capacity for kindness that is very hard to find in this world. He was a man of honor, and always looked after his friends. David was a very special friend to me, and I will always miss him very much.
David battled his cancer for over 2 years, and he left this earth with dignity, and unsurpassed faith.
I write this in honor of his life, and all that he accomplished, David was, and will always be one of the greatest people I have ever known.
